Bay and Basin FM (call sign: 2BAB) is a community radio station based in Sanctuary Point, on the New South Wales South Coast, Australia. It is licensed to serve the towns of Vincentia, Sanctuary Point, Huskisson, St Georges Basin and Basin View amongst others, on the frequency of 92.7 FM.[1] The signal can be received from Gerringong to Ulladulla.
The station is run by Bay and Basin Community Resources, a not-for-profit volunteer organisation that serves the surrounding district. Original programming is presented by volunteers, whilst other programs are taken off the Community Radio Network satellite. The station regularly conducts outside broadcasts for community events. [2]
An eclectic format prevails, with presenters selecting their own music. Networked programming is also aired. The City of Shoalhaven authorised the broadcast and webcast of Council Meetings on Bay and Basin 92.7 FM.[3]
The station broadcasts and webcasts around the clock and has an active program of outside broadcasts at local community social and sporting events and runs its own fully accredited Certificate II course in Community Radio Broadcasting to train volunteers.[4]
